As a part of our social studies and language the students each selected a Native American Tribe to study. Working from the book  series “If You Lived With …” and the internet children answered a set of 10 questions to learn about the tribe they had selected. From their answers they built a paragraph using color coded strips of paper.  

Blue – Title

Green – Topic Sentence

Yellow – Details

Red – Concluding Sentence

When the leaves change color our words float and dance, then tumble onto paper. We enjoyed leaf rubbing and poems tumbling across and between the patterns on our paper.
